(GWANGJU=Yonhap News) Gwangju Metropolitan City is well on its way to opening two new industrial complexes for the eco-friendly automotive and new energy industries.

When complete, the facilities are expected to help the city prepare for the next 40-50 years, transforming it into a center for future industries to prosper during the fourth industrial revolution.

The Light-Green Industry Complex will be home makers of automobiles and auto parts, and is expected to generate KRW 1.5 trillion in products, KRW 460 billion in added value, and hire some 11,500 employees.
