Medline to Build Factory in Gwangju Bitgeurin Industrial Complex

According to Yonhap News, 


(GWANGJU=Yonhap News) Gwangju Metropolitan City announced February 4 that global medical company Medline will be investing in the Bitgeurin National Industrial Complex.

Medline will start construction of a factory for sterilizing and packaging medical products in early April, and begin operating the factory late this year.

The factory will create some 350 new jobs, and the medical products, once sterilized and packaged, will be supplied to hospitals in Korea and other countries around the world.

Creator of the first 'green scrubs' one hundred years ago, Medline Industries, based in the U.S. state of Illinois, was ranked no. 32 on Forbes' list of America's Largest Private Companies in 2017.

With about USD 9.2 billion in annual sales, Medline does business in 90 countries, and has a global workforce of some 15,000 employees.
