(NAJU=Newsis News) Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) is planning to build infrastructure to provide university students in Gwangju and Jeonnam to expand their experience of using electric vehicles (EVs).
KEPCO announced February 13 that it signed a memorandum of understanding with EV sharing company J'CAR on cooperating on an EV haring project for college campuses.
Based on the MoU, EV charging infrastructure will be installed at the college campuses, offering students with the opportunity to drive EVs and thereby revitalize the EV industry.
During the first half of this year, KEPCo will build three rapid charging stations for EVs at Chonnam National University, Honam University and Dongshin University, while J'CAR will place three EVs for sharing near each of those charging stations.
