According to Yonhap News,

(GWANGJU=Yonhap News) On April 4, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups's Gwangju-Jeonnam regional office announced Gwangju's Seo District and Jeollanam-do's Mokpo City as the leading regions for fostering Nadle Stores (small, local stores).

Seo District and Mokpo City will receive KRW 940 million and KRW 1.29 billion, respectively, from national and regional funds.

Seo District will conduct a joint-brand-identity development and preference survey with 72 Nadle Stores, then develop the district's own products such as clothing and food in cooperation with the Nadle Stores.

The district will also improve the stores' facilities and employee training programs.

Mokpo City will support 106 Nadle Stores by developing and distributing seafood products made solely for member stores in cooperation with regional businesses.

The city will also provide an exclusive delivery service to boost sales.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups created Nadle Stores to support and strengthen the competitiveness of small, local stores.

At the end of last year, 23 municipalities were designated as leading regions for Nadle Store development, and in Gwangju, Jeollanam-do, the South Gwangju District is overseeing operations.
