Bidding Begins for Bitgoeul National Security Hall

According to Yonhap News,

(GWANGJU=Yonhap News) On May 11, Gwangju Fire & Disaster Headquarters issued a bidding announcement to select a company to install exhibition and experiential facilities for the Bitgoeul National Security Hall.

Following the announcement, Gwangju Fire & Disaster Headquarters will hold a briefing session for the project and will accept proposals over a 40-day period.

In the beginning of July, there will be an evaluation of proposals, a preliminary selection and then the final company will be selected.

Work on the experiential facilities will start with design, production and installations in July.

Then, construction companies will compete in July for the design and the selected company will begin construction in June, 2019.

The Bitgoeul National Security Hall will conduct periodic drills to prepare for events such as natural disasters, subway accidents, urban disasters and car accidents.

The facilities will completed by 2020 in Ochi-dong, Bok-gu. It will consist of 6 centers and 21 experiential facilities spanning over 4 floors and a total area of 6,865㎡.
