Gwangju Promotes Medical Services at Mongolian Medical Tourism Fair

(GWANGJU=Yonhap News) Gwangju city took part in the 2018 Medical Korea Mongolia Medical Tourism Promotion Fair held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, to promote the city's outstanding medical services and medical tourism packages.

Gwangju city, Chonnam National University Hospital, Chung-yeon Korean Medical Hospital and La Belle Clinic, Gwangju Medical Support Center and Medi-Well Gwangju took part in the two-day fair that started on June 15.

The delegation operated the promotional exhibition and conducted business marketing and medical trials and consultations to introduce the city's advanced medical services and tourism packages.

In particular, Gwangju Medical Support Center and a Mongolian medical travel agency signed a business agreement for medical tourism exchange to transmit patients and share information.

The city also plans to build an overseas promotional center in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, to oversee consultations and reservations before tour as well as after care services.

Tourists from Mongolia are increasing every year. In 2009, there were 850 visitors, and in 2017, there were 14,798 visitors.
