(GWANGJU=Yonhap News) Uzbekistan labor ministry office is open in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju.

Gwangju City said on September 10 that the opening ceremony of the Uzbek labor ministry office will be held on September 12 at the Support Center For Foreign Workers in Gwangju.

The office will support Uzbek workers residing in Korea in terms of welfare, counseling and successful return home.

An official said, "We decided to have the office in Gwangsan-gu because many of Uzbek workers in Korea reside in the district, in which the ethnic Koreans from Central Asian countries live."
