Gwangju to Attract KRW 15.5 billion Investment from Cultural Industry

According to Yonhap News,

(GWANGJU=Yonhap News) Gwangju City is signing an investment agreement worth KRW 15.5 billion with 5 companies that have intention to invest in domestic cultural business on September 14 at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center.

Three animation and mobile game companies from Seoul and two regional cultural businesses will move into Cultural Industry Investment Promotion Zones in Gwangju and create 203 jobs by 2020.

The regional animation industry is expected to have enhanced capacity and technology through the agreement since it includes the establishment of Funny Flux's regional office in Gwangju and investment plan.

A mobile game company in Seoul will move its headquarters office to Gwangju and is expected to increase jobs in the cultural businesses.

Following the agreement, Gwangju City will hold a investment briefing session for 100 people from 30 companies.
