(GWANGJU=Yonhap News) Gwangju City announced on December 13 that a "Youth Entrepreneurship Platform" was opened on the first floor of Nongseong Station, Subway Line 1 to support young entrepreneurs and job creation.

The platform is jointly promoted by the city and the Gwangju Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation, aimed at providing young entrepreneurs with free offices.

The city has invested KRW 160 million and has established 10 startup business offices and a seminar room, which will be occupied by 14 companies.

The platform allows both on-line and off-line real-time information sharing on entrepreneurship and jobs by related organizations and agencies.

The city expects the platform to create 50 jobs annually, to boost subway transportation, and to serve as an information sharing center for entrepreneurs and job seekers.

Young CEOs nesting on the platform delivered a plaque of appreciation to the Mayor for providing a foundation for starting business.

The Mayor said he expects the platform to serve as a model for improving business environment and fostering creation of jobs.
