The organizing committee of the Gwangju 2019 Fina World Swimming Championships announced on December 25 that it will begin selling admission tickets for the Championships on January 2nd of next year, 6 months prior to the actual opening of the event. The ticket covers 90 sessions (games) of 6 sports including the opening and closing ceremonies.

Tickets can be purchased in real-time from 2 pm on January 2 next year, at https://tickets.gwangju2019.com.

A total of 419,000 tickets (KRW 8.94 billion) will be issued for the opening and closing ceremonies as well as the games of six sports.

The committee plans to sell 300,000 tickets (80%) in Korea and 70,000 tickets (20%) overseas, aiming to sell over 370,000 tickets (KRW 7.5 billion, over 90% of total tickets issued).

The average price of tickets is 30,000 won.

The committee offers a discount up to 15 percent for early purchase customers.

The Gwangju 2019 Fina World Swimming Championships will be held from July 12 to 28, 2019. The Gwangju 2019 Fina World Masters Swimming Championships will be held from August 5 to 18, with more than 15,000 participants from 200 countries.
