(GWANGJU=Yonhap News) Buk-gu Office of Gwangju announced on March 10 that it will run a "mini-cluster of 4th industries convergence" in 3 industries - Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (AR, VR) and Drone.
This project, jointly run with Gwangju Technopark, is to improve technologies of SMEs in the fourth industry, and create new business areas through convergence project implementation with manufacturing industry.
"4th industry convergence mini-cluster" is run in the following steps: participating companies identify and plan joint projects through brainstorming; establish a small group within the cluster by project; and provide customized support.
An advisory committee consists of senior researchers, and professors from Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, Jeonnam University, Chosun University, R&D Special district, Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, and Korea Electronics Technology Institute are planned to participate to improve the quality of projects.
Those who want to participate shall submit applications to Technopark by March 20.
