Gwangju's Optical medical device company signed export agreement worth USD 25.8mn

According to Yonhap News,

(GWANGJU=Yonhap News) A company producing optical medical devices in Gwangju signed USD 25.8 million export agreement in China's International Medical Equipment Exhibition.

Gwangju city participated in International Medical Equipment Exhibition held in Sanghai, China on May 14-17, running Gwangju joint booth.

Of MPCOOP members participated in the exhibition, Nanoomtech signed export agreement with Qingdao Bright Nanoom Medical Equipment on exporting USD 25.8 billion for four years.

It was confirmed to export USD 15 million in the later half of this year.

Meanwhile, seven members of MPCOOP signed agreement at working-level with a Chinese large medical corporation LANDWIND, including on R&D. It enhanced the potential of further exports to China.

Gwangju city has supported companies producing medical devices or healthcare products utilizing optical technologies in prototype production and discovery of foreign buyers, through Gwangju Techno Park since 2017.

Gwangju Techno Park invited LANDWIND in March this year, jointly with MPCOOP, signed MOU and has been working on follow-up projects.

An official said ,"We hope this MOU will be a stimulus in business with China. We will do our best to diversify distribution channels in the optical industry."
