Buk-gu, Gwangju signed MOU with Cheonnam National University

According to Yonhap News,

(GWANGJU=Yonhap News) Buk-gu, Gwangju will cooperate with Cheonnam National University (CNU) to develop the region and promote culture.

On August 12, Buk-gu signed MOU with Cheonnam National University on "Mutual development of the region and promotion of cultural exchanges" to establish organic cooperation system between local community and university, and implement joint projects in various fields by sharing personal and logistical resources.

Main contents of MOU include: Develop cultural contents to give local residents more chances to experience culture; Joint cooperation to promote humanities and arts; Support creation of jobs and connection with employment for mutual growth in the region, among others.

Buk-gu and CNU plan to carry out "Wall painting project for landscape design of Buk-gu" twice and hold "Outdoor film festivals" eight times within this year to help local residents enjoy culture.

They will develop humanities programs to support creation of jobs and promotion of cultural enrichment, while pushing for cooperation projects including Job EXPO and special lectures on employment.
