GWANGJU, Oct 2(Yonhap) -- The open forum: 'A discussion on legislative policy for embracing Gwangju AI Cluster' was held on Oct 2, hosted by councilor Kim Kyeong-Jin. Those who took part in the gathering reached a consensus on the need for the legislation.

Mr. Kim says "Taking the leadership role in the AI technology in the upcoming years means taking the best position first in the market. In hopes of turning this place into the catalyst that can lead cross-border convergence in AI industry under the investment plan, the cluster wil provide unlimited opportunities for national economy to be out of stagnation."

Once the plan is brought in, the cluster would costs KRW 4,061 billion to accommodate facilities to be used for data center, algorithem and computing power lab that encompasses the entire business cycle by 2024.
