Gwangju city to send a group of business delegates to explore overseas market from March

The city of Gwangju announced on Jan. 19 that the local government and three other public agencies – KOTRA Support Center, Gwangju-Jeonnam office, Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KSSA) Gwangju office and Korea International Trade Agency (KITA) Gwangju-Jeonnam office- plan to form and send a business delegation that consists of nearly 80 local SMEs and startups. The delegation will take a role of exploring overseas markets across the world from March to October this year.

This year, in particular, the authorities send the entrepreneurs to 22 cities in 16 countries including China, India, Russia and the Middle East. The cost for air fair, venues for business coaching, translation service and market analysis will be covered by Gwangju city. Last year alone, the delegation who flew to 12 cities, seven times has .successfully signed an MOU for future business deals worth KRW 36 million.
