The city of Gwangju is embarking on a contingency service, setting up a special venue through which entrepreneurs can join virtual meeting, as part of online trade counselling programs to mitigate the economic implications from the coronavirus.

Gwangju Bukgu newly established the “video conferencing room” in two separate places locally to help businesses in trouble reaching out to clients due to the current travel restrictions many countries are imposing cope well with the crisis.

The digital service channel allows local entrepreneurs to have one on one cyber meeting with global buyers without necessarily having in-person meeting on the ground.

Conducting a market demand survey, KOTRA provides the customized videoconferencing service, together with 129 KBCs in 84 countries.

The head of the county said “It’s a real, time and energy saving measures to help businesses already suffering from the epidemics, I think.”
