Gwangju TechnoPark to develop a platform to share manufacturing skills with local biz

Gwangju TechnoPark announced on Jul 13 that the agency gears up for developing smart service platform, designed to share manufacturing skills combined with artificial intelligence and conventional technologies. The project is led mainly by Namdo Mold Corporation, a leading business in metal injection molding industry in the city, forming partnership with Chosun college of science and technology, specializing in automation engineering.

The cost for the project is predicted to total as much as KRW 3.5 billion (2.5 billion from national budgets, adding a KRW 1 billion provate fund) by the end of 2022.
By setting a goal to cut an idle period of time on site, improve output over 30 percent, whilst slashing defect rates by 90 percent in the assembly line, TechnoPark help local enterprises share tips for manufacturing technique with 11 small businesses.
