Gwangju city struck a partnership deal with AI tech developers

The city of Gwangju signed an MOU with AI solution developers, Bais, SandGlass and ParkAI, respectively on Jul 31 to build out a thriving AI tech-ecosystem in the city of Gwangju. Bais is developing big data analytic tools and mobile web services.

SandGlass provides language translation services capitalizing on big data.
ParkAI is an autonomous parking solution provider, developing parking location control algorithm for self-driving cars. These three counterparts pledged to join commitment to forming an entrepreneurial ecosystem to further advance AI technology, while adding jobs by moving headquarters and incorporating separate entities in the city.

Gwangju city has long been working on building out a city-wide infrastructure to shape a hub of artificial intelligence, attracting 25 companies and research centers so far.
