Gwangju city struck a partnership deal with AI developers

According to Yonhap News,


The city of Gwangju signed an MOU with Daishin Information Communications (DSIC) and SnuAIlab to build up industry base to form an AI ecosystem in the city. Under the partnership accord, the city government and the counterparts will run an industrial sponsorship program, through which entities involved establish a local research lab and its affiliate office to develop artificial intelligence technologies.

These two partners also unveiled an investment plan to incorporate separate private entities and R&D centers in the city, teaming up with Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) and Gwangju Technopark.

Daishin Information Communications (DSIC) is a mobile and POD solution provider. SnuAIlab, a joint venture firm which was born with a group of AI specialists in Seoul National Universities, is one of Korea’s best AI application developers with IP rights on artificial intelligence big data analytical tools.
