The city of Gwangju and Korea Data Agency (K-DATA) reached a consensus to forge stronger partnership to boost data-fueled applications of artificial intelligence technologies. Both also agreed to work together to explore collective action plans to be implemented: to drive value through accumulated information mainly led by private entities, form an environment where data can be safely collected, organized and exchanged and to accommodate AI data security zone to be utilized.

K-DATA, whose ancestor is Korea Database Agency, has launched its service since 1993, taking the leadership role in data economy in Korea. With its expertise for years, they’re highly anticipated to pitch in the city-led project to embrace AI tech-clusters in the community.
