Gwangju city singed 71st MOU with KBC & Data Maker

The city of Gwangju signed the 71st investment deal with Kwangju Broadcasting Company (KBC) and Data Maker to form an industry base to facilitate an AI ecosystem inside the city. KBC has taken a role of AI technology testing ground where multi-forms of AI solutions are applied inter-sectoral business such as news, documentary series and other media content production. Data Maker is a machine-learning based data labeling platform service.

Under the investment contract agreed upon, these investors pledged to be part of the city’s initiative to form an AI ecosystem by running business associated with AI technology, introducing new technologies into commerce, building an entrepreneurial infrastructure, developing biz-support programs and HR training schemes.

The head of KBC said “Based upon a wide range of platform services and content created, we’ll pitch in with the formation of AI hub in Gwangju city.” Data Maker CEO added “We’ll also be part of contributors to the development of the AI industry and job creation.”
