The city of Gwangju announced the launch of a biz-support program on Feb 12 which aims to help locally based SEMs gain a foothold in smart manufacturing.
A business newly establishing smart factories where part of (or the entire) production process can be connected via the IoT and digital technologies or further advancing ICT-based manufacturing facilities are entitled to be given cash grants up to KRW 20- 50 million. Potential candidates are also provided with a set of aid programs.
