The city of Gwangju joined hands with Silicon Valley Business Forum (SVBF) to jointly attract investment and to build high-tech business alliance. Gwangju city and Gwangju Free Economic Zone (GFEZ) have signed a memorandum of understanding with SVBF on Apr 6 over the partnership.
In accordance with such deal, both reached a consensus to host a roundtable where enterprises invited pitch business ideas to potential investors and have in-depth discussion over the topic of the batteries of the future. The city and its counterpart also pledged to establish joint-venture partnerships for mid-long term business projects for the next generation batteries.
The forum, helping build ROK-US business network upon which businesses find overseas sales channels, technology transfer and investment opportunities, has launched by Moon Kook-Hyun, chairman of Hansol Textiles and CEO of New Paradigm Institute (NPI) and Osama Hassanein, a chairman of Rising Tide Fund, a Silicon Valley based venture firm.
