Gwangju city signed partnership deals with 2 VC investors to develop AI biz

The city of Gwangju signed an MOU on May 12 with Pacemakers and PlanH Ventures over partnership to form VC startup ecosystem to develop an AI hub in Gwangju city. Both agreed to join forces to identify promising, high-growth AI startups and to raise funds to get startups off the ground.

Pacemakers, which has recently move its head office into Gwangu city, is a venture capital investor, spotting fast-growing tech companies and has financed 17 startups last year. The other VC firm, PlanH Ventures, in which Hoban has a stake, is planning to set up a separately incorporated business entity in Gwangju city.
