The Gwangju Free Economic Zone Authority (GFEZA) signed an investment agreement with COMMAX, a mid-sized AI-based IoT smart home company, at City Hall on November 9.

COMMAX is a pioneering company in the global market that creates safety and value of life. It produces and develops home automation, IoT security, and AIoT convergence products that show how AI technology is applied to life.

With the agreement as an opportunity, the GFEZA plans to push for investment in GFEZ AI convergence district and establish research facilities in the city.

The GFEZA also signed an MOU with Dassault Systèmes Korea and Korea Industrial Complex Corporation.

Dassault Systèmes Korea, a global software leader headquartered in France, provides a collaborative 3D virtual environment that enables sustainable innovation. It also provides various solutions and services such as 3D design, engineering, and simulation across 11 industries including automobiles, aerospace/defense, shipbuilding and marine, energy, life science, and industrial equipment.

Dassault Systèmes Korea plans to provide technical and policy advice to local companies to strengthen their technological competitiveness in Gwangju's key industries, support for nurturing talents in key industries, and discover projects for joint cooperation. The Industrial Complex Corporation is determined to actively cooperate in attracting companies to revitalize the National Industrial Complexes in Gwangju region.
