According to Newsis,

Gwangju-si will work towards fostering E/E parts companies in the region to promote Gwangju-style job Season 2.

E/E parts are required to realize electrification, self-driving, connected and shared technologies, and expected to account for more than 70% of finished vehicles in the future.

The city plans to select 10 Best EE parts companies in the region, who possess excellent technologies and growth potential, and intensively foster them as global parts providers in order to lead development of EE parts and bolster technological competitiveness.

The selected companies will be provided with customized support including technology development, prototype manufacturing, test and evaluation, and technological consultation, and priority opportunities to participate in joint research with finished vehicles. There will also be various support to secure various certifications and price competitiveness.

The companies willing to apply for Best 10 are required to submit applications through Gwangju Green Car Promotion Agency online/offline from February 15 to March 11. Based on application documents, selection will be made after going through first, document screening, second, on-site visit, and third, selection evaluation.
