According to Yonhap News,

Gwangju AI Startup Camp, which claims to be the cradle of artificial intelligence (AI) companies, has been making achievements such as attracting investment.

Gwangju-si announced on February 21 that the Gwangju AI Startup Camp opened its first office in November 2020, followed by the second office in November last year.

75 companies, including AI-related startups, have moved into the two offices.

Of them, 11 companies attracted investment worth KRW 17.5 billion, hiring 54 people.

10 teams who won prizes in competitions started their business and moved in.

Among the tenants, inDJ, an AI-based music recommendation platform company, showed more than 500% sales growth last year.

Gwangju-si plans to build an AI convergence industry ecosystem by holding competitions and education for prospective entrepreneurs, and supporting prototype manufacturing and quality consultation.
