According to Newsis,

Gwangju Technopark (Director Kim Young-jib) will pursue the KOSDAQ listing of 8 local companies in the next two years.

At the opening ceremony, an MOU was inked between Gwangju-si and Gwangju Techno Park to establish the administrative provision of customized listing support services and a business cooperation system.

According to Gwangju Technopark, the number of KOSDAQ-listed companies in Korea were 547 over the past five years, but only one was listed among SMEs in Gwangju.

The growth of local companies with global competitiveness is expected to provide an opportunity to create jobs for local talent and strengthen the business ecosystem in the region.

About 40 investors, including artificial intelligence (AI) investment fund managers, participated in the event to review investment possibilities through IR pitching for 21 companies, followed by one-on-one investment consultations between investors and companies.

Director Kim Young-jib of Gwangju Techno Park said, "We plan to ramp up investment attraction cooperation with local startup planners, venture capitals, and related organizations along with promoting the creation of a KRW 500 billion fund, which is one of the pledges of the 8th civil election."
