According to Yonhap News,

On May 8, Buk-gu, Gwangju announced that it will establish a strategic economic partnership by signing an investment promotion business agreement with Quang Binh Province, Ba Don City, Vietnam, an international friendly city.

An official delegation of four members, including Doan Minh Tho, the head of the Badon People's Committee, will visit Buk-gu on May 9-10 to discuss measures for mutual growth.

This is a meeting to hammer out details of cooperation in the smart farms, solar power, and tourism sectors, which were discussed when the Buk-gu delegation visited Badon City in April last year.

On the first day of the visit, the delegation of Badon will visit smart farm fields to witness the advanced farming techniques and sign the investment agreement worth KRW 500,000.

According to the agreement, Badon City expects to increase residents' income by introducing smart farming techniques, while SMEs in Buk-gu are expected to develop overseas markets.

On the second day of visit, the delegation will experience a tourism program through their visit to the Gwangju Lake Ecological Center, one of the eight views of Buk-gu.

An official from the Buk-gu office said, "we will strengthen exchange policies to help both cities grow further in various fields based on the close partnership."
