According to Yonhap News,

On May 20, the Gwangju and Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) announced that its online export marketing support project for local SMES last year made great achievements.

KITA provided step-by-step support to 25 local SMEs, jointly with Gwangju-si, in creating product pages in English, discovering potential buyers, and one-on-one business meetings.

Through about 80 business meetings of 21 companies, 9 resulted in exports worth USD 165,000, and 5 signed export contracts worth USD 500,000.

The value of export consultation reached USD 1 million, while five companies exchanged samples.

KITA gave online marketing support by sending about 90,000 transaction proposals and designs to buyers, and providing SMEs with a list of 40,000 potential buyers.

Arivie, a shamppo producer, and Taehyun Food, a meal replacement company, achieve great results of conducting export consultations and signing agreements.

KITA plans to continue to provide the online export marketing support through vouchers even after the project period ends.
