According to Yonhap News,
Gwangju-si, Jeonnam-do, and Jeonbuk State will launch mega-regional cooperation to foster the medical healthcare and beauty industries.
Gwangju-si, Jeonnam-do, and Jeonbuk State held a joint declaration ceremony to attract companies for the development of medical, healthcare, and beauty industries in Honam region at 'Reha-Homecare 2024' held at COEC on June 4.
It was an event to go ahead with the global medical, healthcare, and beauty cluster creation project, which was part of Gwangju-Jeonnam-Jeonbuk mega-regional projects included in the comprehensive plan of November last year.
The project aims to support commercialization of products and create a base for market entry by connecting Jeonnam (materials), Jeonbuk (electric medical device), and Gwangju (non-electric medical device and product commercialization).
An official from Gwangju-si said that "we will cooperate to strengthen regional competitiveness and attract companies by making mega-regional projects reflected in the state budget allocation next year."
