At the Gwangju Future Industry Expo, the largest high-tech industry exhibition held in the Honam region, export contracts worth more th an KRW 10 billion were signed.
Gwangju-si said on July 3 that export contracts of about USD 7.68 million (KRW 10.8 billion) were signed at the event held at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center in Gwangju on June 27-29.
High-tech technologies and products will be exported, including Seah C&T that signed a contract worth USD 640,000 for robot-related products with US buyers.
168 business meetings worth USD 15.71 million (KRW 21.7 billion) were also conducted.
The Future Industry Expo was held in the largest scale ever, with participation of 557 booths including conglomerates like Hyundai Motor Group, Samsung Electronics, 256 local companies companies and institutions.
Gwangju-si said that it turned into a specialized industry exhibition after integrating three events such as Green Car Expo, Ppuri Industry Expo, and International IoT·Appliance·Robot Fair, and adding Drone and UAM Expo.
