Gwangju-si held an open innovation strategy event in which large corporations and local startups participate at Gwangju Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (CCEI) on July 18.

It is an event to support the development of mid- to long-term collaboration models and follow-up investments by connecting local start-ups and large corporations. , Hyosung Advanced Materials and 8 local companies participated.

Hyosung Advanced Materials unveiled the technologies in demand in the material and equipment business areas applying carbon fiber and also introduced innovation strategy programs and collaboration examples.

Eight regional companies, including Hogreen Air, STH, ggomjirak, Servo Tech, CNS Company, Creative Art, Hyunseung Tech, and Drone Pyeongya, have announced technologies that can be applied to mobility, healthcare, wearable, and aerospace fields.

According to an official from Gwangju Metropolitan Government, "More than 13 large corporations including Samsung Electronics, Hoban Group, HD Hyundai Samho, and Mega Zone Cloud, are planned to participate in open innovation," adding that "we will actively support so that local start-ups can create new opportunities."
