A delegation of Gwangju-si visited Zhejiang Province, China, and agreed to strengthen economic cooperation with China.

On August 11, Gwangju-si said that its delegation, led by Deputy Mayor, attended the "2024 Korea-China-Japan Trilateral Entrepreneurs Forum" held in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province, China on August 8-10.

Gwangju's Deputy Mayor attended the opening ceremony of the Forum hosted by the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) at the invitation of the Zhejiang government and delivered a congratulatory speech.

Gwangju's delegation visited the headquarters of Alibaba Group, one of China's leading IT groups, and sought ways to cooperate with Gwangju-based companies.

On August 10, the delegation signed a cooperative agreement with the GGBEC (Global Government, Business, Enterprise Cooperation).

GGBEC was established in Rome, Italy in 2019, and has been supporting and connecting business networks with more than 500,000 business people as members around the world including Europe, US, and China.

Gwangju-si and it agreed to make efforts to establish its Korean international office in Gwangju and send a private exchange group of more than 100 people in the second half of this year.
