According to Yonhap News,

Gwangju Mayor Gang Un-tae is scheduled to begin his visit to five cities on Saturday including Brazil's Rio de Janeiro and America's New York and Washington D.C. to organize investment and export seminars.

During the visit, Gang plans to deliver a keynote speech at the special session of Rio+20 Summit and sign a cooperative agreement with the mayor of Rio de Janeiro, selected as the host city of the 2016 Summer Olympics, to expand exchanges between the two cities in sports and culture.

He will also hold an investment seminar for businessmen in L.A. and conclude a 10 million worth-export contract for LED products.

"The exports of LED products, to be sold under the first regional joint-brand name of MIG, Made in Gwangju, will be an opportunity to promote Gwangju's strengths in the lighting industry to all around the globe," said a Gwangju official.
