According to Yonhap News,

Gwangju-south Jeolla Province (Jeonnam) Regional Small & Medium Business Administration dispatched a delegation to Asuncion, Paraguay Tuesday, to discuss international cooperation between Korean and Paraguayan agriculture and manufacturing companies with Paraguay Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The delegation consists of eco-friendly pesticide manufacturer NFAGRO, civil engineering company Korea Engineering Consultant Corporation, agricultural machinery manufacturer G Geumgang and others.

The delegation will conduct a preliminary feasibility test on building a Korean-type rice farmland model (6,000-ha) in partnership with the Paraguay's civic engineering and construction company CDD.

In addition, it will discuss details of inviting Paraguayan technical trainees to Korea and exchanging technology.

The visit is decided on the request of the CEO of CDD who was highly impressed by Korea's advanced rice cultivation and processing technology during his visit to Yeosu EXPO on behalf of the Paraguayan President.

"Korean SMEs' entry into Paraguay will be a good opportunity for them to export their products to Paraguay's neighboring countries including Brazil, Bolivia and Argentina," said an official of Gwangju-Jeonnam Small & Medium Business Administration.
