Gwangju and LA Promote Economic Cooperation

Gwangju mayor Kang Un-tae met with Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti this week to discuss exchanges between the two cities. They agreed to install an economic cooperation office each in both cities.

Mayor Kang requested Los Angeles’ support for Gwangju’s LED lighting installation and movie production projects.

He also explained the significance of the 2013 Urban Environmental Accords (UEA) in San Antonio, which 114 cities around the world and 12 international organizations gather to discuss measures against the climate change, and asked Los Angeles’ support and encouragement.
