The International Climate & Environment Fair 2013 will be held from August 28 to August 30 in Gwangju.

Hosted by Gwangju city and South Jeolla Province, the fair will offer about 400 booths by around 150 companies and 21 events.

Global companies, including POSCO, Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd, Kolon Water & Energy Co. Ltd., Kumho Tires, and Kia Motors, and public agencies, including Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute, Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation and Korea Energy Management Corporation, will be participating in the fair to show state-of-the-art environmental technology and products.

With foreign buyers from China and India, one-on-one export consultations and cooperation sessions among corporations and small- and medium-sized companies will be also provided.

Various events, including conference, forums and symposiums on environmental industry, climate and water management will be offered.

A Gwangju official noted that there is a high interest in climate change due to recent scorching weather, adding that the fair will provide an opportunity to experience advanced environmental technology and products.
