Gwangju and S. Jeolla’s CSI Reached 101

According to Gwangju and South Jeolla branch of the Bank of Korea’s consumer sentiment index (CSI) for 600 households in Gwangju and South Jeolla today, CSI rose by 1 point from last month to reach 101.

Korea’s CSI was dropped by 3 points from the previous month to reach 102.

CSI stayed at 100 for five months previously.

When CSI is lower than 100, there are more individuals who hold negative economic forecast than those who hold positive.

CSI for current living conditions in Gwangju and South Jeolla recorded 88, showing a 3 point decrease from last month, however CSI for living condition forecast increased by 2 points from previous month to reach 96.

CSI for household income forecast also grew by 4 points to reach 98, whereas CSI for household expenditure forecast stayed at 109.

CSI for current economic circumstances reached 78, showing a 1 point increase from the previous month, and CSI for future economic forecast also rose by 3 points from previous month to reach 92.
