Total 404 cultural and content companies from 40 countries participated in the fair to present advanced content, and the fair drew 223 buyers overseas to observe export consultation sessions of USD 264.2 million.

OCON Animation Studio from Gwangju made a contract of USD 50,000 with a Japanese company to export its animation Dibo and Friends. Eyescream Studio also signed a contract to cooperate with LG U+ to jointly develop an animation of USD 160,000.

The fair also saw consistent business agreements, including Feelbug’s contract with a French company to develop a 2D animation of KRW 2 billion.

This year’s fair was analyzed as a citizen-friendly fair where families can experience and enjoy various cultural events.

The 3D High-tech Film Festival featured 15 films in various genres of animation, documentary, science fiction and action, to draw 5,300 audiences.

A special lecture given by Kyle Cooper also drew 300 visitors.

A Gwangju official noted that the fair has become a representative market in Korea to distribute cultural contents, adding that recent trends and information was welcomed by visitors.
