(GWANGJU = Yonhap News) The city of Gwangju and South Jeolla Province hold the “Solar, Wind & Earth Energy Trade Fair 2014 (SWEET 2014)”, an international new and renewable energy exhibition, between March 12 and 14 at the Kimdaejung Convention Center in Gwangju.

More than 250 companies from 21 nations will participate in the exhibition.

The event aims to discuss measures for the energy crisis and provide support for the new and renewable energy companies that attempt to discover new overseas markets.

Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), the co-host of the event, will invite 64 foreign buyers from 21 nations to hold a large-scale export conference.

Local new and renewable energy companies such as Paru Co., Ltd., SunCarrier, Dae Cheong Systems Co., Ltd. will participate in the conference.

The Korea Solar Energy Society, National Assembly’s forum on new growth engine industries and workshops for public officials in the field of new and renewable energy will take place during the period.

“SWEET 2014” is the first national new and renewable energy exhibition to obtain certifications from the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry UFI, Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy and Association of Korea Exhibition Industry.
