Gwangju Mayor Yoon Jang-hyun signed a cooperation agreement on tourism business on August 6 at 21 Century Hotel Beijing during his visit to China. Participants of the signing ceremony include the workers from the Gwangju Tourism Association and five Chinese travel agencies.

Chinese travel agencies will strive to develop and sell tourist products to visitors staying in Gwangju for more than a day, carry out marketing activities to sell tourist products and build a network in China, hold cultural exchange events for group tourists and promote tours that travel via airports and seaports near Gwangju.

In return, Gwangju will provide tourism information and relevant documents for the travel agencies to develop Gwangju tours, administrative and financial support for the operation of Gwangju tours and other related services necessary for Korea and China cultural exchange events.

Mayor Yoon held the China Friendly Networking Dinner to suggest a friendly vision towards China and ask the people in different industries to invest in Gwangju.
