According to Yonhap News,

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) T'way Airlines said Friday that it has become South Korea's first budget carrier to offer regular flight services between Gwangju and Jeju Island.

The no-frills airline said it plans three to four daily flights linking the largest city in South Jeolla Province in the country's southwest with the resort island that is popular with tourists.

The route is currently being operated by the country's full-service carriers, Korean Air Lines Co. and Asiana Airlines Inc., but T'way said its fares will be 20-30 percent cheaper than its larger rivals.

The move gives the airline three domestic routes. At present, it operates flights between Seoul's Gimpo airport and Jeju, as well as the Daegu-Jeju route.

The company has eight Boeing B737-800 jets and services foreign flights to seven cities in Japan, China, Thailand and Taiwan.
