GWANGJU < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

(GWANGJU=Yonhap News)Gwangju announced November 4 that it has received a prize for responding to climate change from the Korea Productivity Center.

The award is given to regions that have been exemplary in responding to climate change to encourage more regions to carry out climate change activities. Gwangju, Seoul and Incheon won the award this year.

Gwangju received good marks for its establishment of the Climate Change Response Center and its mid and long-term plan to create carbon neutral city.

Gwangju adopted carbon bank system for the first in Korea to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and 339,000 households have joined the system.
