(ULSAN=Yonhap News) Gwangju City announced January 4 that it has been selected as the best city for the performance assessment of government 3.0, which was conducted by the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs.

The government 3.0 is the core paradigm for government operation to create a transparent, competent and service-oriented government based on the four values of openness, sharing, communication and cooperation.

Gwangju, which established the basic plan for the government 3.0 last year, received high score for its proactive engagement in executing the tasks including finding and providing public information, building eco portal system and analyzing big data to effectively operate the city bus.

The city received KRW 200 million of special subsidy tax as it was selected as the best city.

The city also won the best prize for its presentation about multi-value green service to create an environment community, which was also organized by the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs last November.
