Gwangju City & South Jeolla Province Receive Good Grades in Anti-corruption Policy Assessment

According to Yonhap News,

(GWANGJU/MUAN=Yonhap News)Gwangju City and South Jeolla Province have received good grades in the anti-corruption policy assessment 2014.,which was conducted to 254 public organizations in Korea by the Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission (ACRC).

For the transparency and integrity of local governments, Gwangju and South Jeolla Province received 2nd grades.

For offices of education, the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education and the Jeollanam-do Office of Education received 2nd and 3rd grade, respectively.

For national and public universities, Chonnam National University received 4th grade, a low evaluation.

For regional state-owned companies, the Environmental Corporation of Gwangju, the Gwangju Metropolitan City Corporation, the Gwangju Metropolitan Transit Corporation and Jeonnam Development Corporation have received 3rd grade.

The Korea Rural Community Corporation received 4th grade.

The anti-corruption policy assessment measures the level of an organization’s autonomous efforts to enhance its integrity and transparency. The ACRC and outside experts evaluate the anti-corruption policies of organizations through performance data, surveys and statistics.
