According to Yonhap News,

(GWANGJU=Yonhap News) Gwangju City announced February 5 the establishment of a five-year-plan for future information society (2015~2019) to realize a happy city that leads the hyper-connected society.

A hyper-connected society refers to a society that connects everything from people, data to objects via network due to the development of the internet and communication technology. The city, with KRW 47.7 billion of investment, has set 30 tasks in six sectors including participation administration; creative economy industry; happy lifestyle; global cultural tourism; hyper-connected city; and smart infrastructure.

"We will do our utmost to promote the basic plan to develop tailored service models so that we can provide high-quality administrative information services to our people," said a city official.
