(GWANGJU=NEWSIS) A group of Chinese entrepreneurs in the United States visited Gwangju City to tour its investment environment and discuss ways for bilateral exchange and cooperation.

Gwangju City Mayor Yoon Jang-hyun met with 14 Chinese entrepreneurs on March 24 and recognized the roles of the entrepreneurs for bringing China to the world’s second largest economy.

"Even though it is important to carry out human resource and cultural exchanges, it would be more significant if we shared and exchanged our investment and capital as well for mutual understanding," said Yoon.

The Chinese entrepreneurs and the Gwangju City held a meeting at the Kimdaejung Convention Center to find ways to promote bilateral investment and cooperation.

The city introduced its investment environment for sectors including tourism, culture and other industries.

The group looked around the Asian Culture Complex and World Institute of Kimchi and studied the investment environment of Gwangju.
