(GWANGJU=Yonhap News) The Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Small and Medium Business Administration, the Honam Support Center of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency and the Korea Automotive Technology Institute have jointly held a presentation on India’s car parts sector and an export consultation meeting on June 3 at the Kimdaejung Convention Center.

The participants from India include Tata Motors, a car manufacturer, Adve Engineering, a car parts manufacturer and the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India.

It was a venue to introduce the car parts technology and investment environment of India.

Seventeen automobile-related companies from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh have met with 40 regional companies in Gwangju.

The key items were water and oil pumps, brake pads, clutches, compressors, bearings and other electronic parts.

The size of the automobile market in India will reach USD 145 billion in 2016. Already, 110 Korean car parts manufacturers have entered the Indian car market.
