(SEOUL=NEWSIS) Dayou Winia signed an investment agreement with Gwangju City on June 17 to build a production and logistics base in the city.

Dayou Winia plans to build a production, logistics and service base in Gwangju by the first half of 2016. It will invest KRW 48.5 billion to build a plant on 17,627m² of land from July.

The new plant will produce various products including air conditioners, air washers and rice cookers and other kitchen electric appliances.

The company chose Gwangju as its production and logistics base due to the city’s easy supply and demand of raw and subsidiary materials and excellent human resources.

"The production and logistics base will create 1,325 new jobs and record more than KRW 474.2 billion of sales by 2018," said a company official.
